From our royal seat at Magodongo II Royal House (3939 Malandela, Tsakane), our Traditional Council loyally upholds Ndebele culture, customary law, unity, and communal welfare under the Kingship and supreme leadership of His Majesty King Mabhoko III.

King Nyabela Day is the official Heritage Day of the Ndzundza Ndebele Nation. We gather to celebrate the indomitable courage, royal sovereignty, and enduring cultural heritage passed down from King Nyabela and our royal ancestors.
King Nyabela (Ingwenyama Nyabela) is celebrated as a monumental symbol of anti-colonial resistance and African royal fortitude. When colonial forces demanded the surrender of King Mampuru II in 1882, King Nyabela valiantly refused to breach sacred African sanctuary law, declaring: "I have swallowed him; he is in my belly."
For eight fierce months at the Mapoch Caves (KoNomtjarhelo / Roossenekal), King Nyabela and the Ndzundza warriors defended our freedom with unmatched bravery. Today, under the reigning kingship of His Majesty King Ndzundza Mabhoko III, King Nyabela Day honors this eternal legacy of sovereign integrity, cultural pride, and community resilience.

Our Traditional Council is the custodian of the historic lineage of King Magodongo (1821). In accordance with the Traditional and Khoi-San Leadership Act and our customary mandate, we actively administer customary justice, resolve disputes, provide Commissioner of Oaths services, and support orphaned children and vulnerable households in Tsakane.
